Re: Your Opinion
Robby, I think from what you describe the HD3 would be an excellent machine and the package deals make it all the more value. I paid basically the same price for the HD (I guess technically the HD1) machine 3 years ago when it first came out. I realized early on that I made a good choice over the li...

Re: Battery UPS/Surge sizing
I use a 1500VA Sine Wave UPS. I chose the Sine Wave version because motors do funny things sometimes when powered by square wave or "semi-sine" wave or stepped square wave. I never have done any time testing but I should have a few minutes to make my way to the shop during a power outage and have a ...

Re: Router clamp issue- again! unbelievable
Yes, Dixie Billet does business the way I do business. As long as I have a customer I am "open". I have talked to a customer about one of my Corian headstones at 5:00pm, sent a proof by 7:00, carve it by 10:00, got the paint baking by 11:00 and ship it by 12:00 noon the next day. I think you will be...

Re: Router clamp issue- again! unbelievable
Scooter, The issue that they are talking about is that HDP material (or what ever it is) that is used a lot on the Shark does not make a good clamp. The ears that the bolt tightens as a tenancy to bend and eventually allows the router to slip under pressure. For me the ears actually broke. The clamp...

Re: circle problem
I would have thought that Virtual Zero would have taken that problem out, although how big the touch plate is could average out a thin or thick area if it spans across too much area. I never have tried to level my bed or get into virtual zero although I am supposed to have that ability. I always put...

Re: tool path tiling
On everything I have done so far I have strategically planned the "tile division line" to be between two letter or the gap between words, so there wasn't any really need to match up within thousandths of an inch just within a 1/32 or so. I don't know what the accuracy is like otherwise but suspect i...

Re: Would anyone find this useful?
Bob, Sometimes people smile and use it and don't vote. LOL Personally, although I have done pictures on Corian before, a printed worksheet is always useful to have and use for comparison and reference. I printed it out immediately and put it with my Shark reference and education material. Thumbs up ...

Re: Looking for a Shark tutor

No, with unlimited cell phone these days and free computer abilities I do it for the same price that you and others have charge me for help..... nothing. Good karma is worth a lot. Someday I will need something really bad and someone that I ...

Re: DRASTIC Z DEPTHS CHANGES
I used VCarve Pro 8.0 for a couple of month before realizing there was an update. I didn't notice the Z depth issue but then by coincidence or luck I might not have done what ever action that it was that provoked the issue. For those who might still be wondering, I feel Ver 8.0 is a must have update...

Re: Looking for a Shark tutor
I'm just now seeing this post. I have done this before using phone conversations and linking up to the computer with the person watching and asking questions/trying things themselves for homework. I don't know that I would be your best shot with as many well experienced operators here on the forum, ...
