Re: Thoughts on dust collection for my pro plus,

Since the post I added another blower and a larger dust funnel shape. The blowers are from Grainger and cost $73.50 each they move 50CFM. I used them because I had them left over from a project. They work at about 80% efficiency when I am cutting MDF but I use a lot of Azek and they don’t work as we...

Re: What is the speed of the Shark

A simple sign 9" X 20" with “Joe’s Fishing Lodge” with about 2” high text and a border will take about 6 min. to carve.
I'm sure that you could make 15 in a day without a problem! :D

Re: WHO'S MAKING MONEY ?????????

I’m lucky I have a wife that is on several sites selling her artwork. She has me making boxes to sell to other artist ready to paint. They are made of ¼” MDF and are specific to cover several standard household items like Tissue Boxes. I also make three styles of stemware holders that fit over a win...

Re: Professional Use

I agree with Joe. You have to look for a nitch… Then try to develop it. It can’t be the only tool in the shop but it is a good supplement. I use mine to make parts for items that I sell on online sites. I also make signs and sell them on the sites. In the year that I have had the Shark I have manage...

Re: Shark Vs K2CNC modle 14X14

For over 3 times the price ( K2CNC Starts @ $14K) it should be a better CNC but I am very happy with the Shark Pro Plus. I have had it for a year and it has already paid for it's self with a spair time business :D

Re: Shark earning it's keep.

I have had a good bit of business with my Shark. I make small items that I sell on Ebay and 3 other sites, that with some custom signs keeps my spare time occupied and me out of trouble. I try to keep it simple and I have already paid for my Shark

Very Nice. Where did you get the etched glass? I carve glass with sand blasting. You can see some of my work on my web site www.jleistfinewoodworking.com

Re: Lost Letters

The strange thing is I discovered, if I make a separate took path for just the script and tool paths for the rest of the sign it works. I did look at the vectors and it does appear that they are overlapping. I guess I can live with it now that I know to make separate tool paths. Here is the finish s...
