Re: Lasers Anyone? I've been holding off till I see samples

Seems like the only way you will see any info on the laser is to look at to parahna info. NW hasn't bothered to put it in the manual of the HD4. I don't know why that is, but I sure wish they would update their manual on the HD4 to include all the info that the machine can do. If you go to NW site a...

Re: Am I the only one who thinks NWA is making a mistake?

I have a HD4 and was told by tech support that if I didn't want to use the pendant, I could use a pc and run the control panel software like any other of there Sharks. I did have a pendant problem, but NWA support talked me thru adjusting it, and it has worked fine ever since. I haven't tried it yet...

Re: Lasers Anyone? I've been holding off till I see samples

I will be watching this forum for info on the laser. My HD4 package came with the laser, but I am not even close to trying it out. Being under 3 watts, I realize it is only for very lite engraving. I never thought about it cutting thru wood. I too would like to see some samples and better instructio...

Re: shop vac for dust collection

I just got a HD4 and bought the Kent dust shoe for it. The first time I used it was to level my spoil board. There was no dust anywhere with the shoe. I do have a question about how everyone that uses a 4" hose with a shoe. How do you suspend the hose above the router? I have my hose suspended from ...

Re: Table not level

I just got the HD4 about 3 weeks ago. I may have been lucky, because I just surfaced my spoil board yesterday and it came out perfect. I checked after the cut with a v-bit and went to all 4 corners and the center. The spacing below the bit was the same on all 5 points. I just used a feeler gauge to ...

HD4 problem fixed

Since I was the one to complain about the HD4 problem, I thought I should be the one to say my problem has been resolved! The original problem was with the pendant going into lockup mode when you turn on the control box. After tech support helped me resolve the problem, it has not happened again. It...

Re: HD4 pendant Problems

Since I talked with tech support and they worked with me to reset the pendant, I have run 2 projects with the machine, without any problems. Now I am waiting for my dust boot to get here so I can get to work. These machines throw dust all over the shop. Tech support was very helpful with my problem ...

Re: HD4 pendant Problems

I guess I didn't really explain things properly. The pendant was acting up with a garage temp at just over 60 degrees. In fact I actually had my garage door open because it was so nice outside. I understand it's not good to get condensation on electrical equipment, but with a temp that high, there s...

Re: HD4 pendant Problems

I really don't think that is the problem. With computers if it stays cold I think the circuit boards like it. It may be the pendant for the HD4 is different in some way, but I don't know for sure. I am very new to cnc and have just started to work with the machine. As time goes on, I will learn more...
