Cocobolo 3d Raised Skull pen
my latest design.
this is another 3d raised body pen with raised skulls on a cocobolo blank.
These are the opposite of something like the inlay pens. They are rotary turned on the shark.
cheers!

Constantine lighter

Diamond bit engraved on the CNC. toolpaths were created using the quick engrave function of Aspire and having it follow the vectors rather than fill. Cheers! ph...

Re: Lasers Anyone? I've been holding off till I see samples
I don't know the wattage of the Laser NW has on their Laser, but you need at least 50 watts to cut wood veneer 0.007" thick. I use a 200 watt laser at 40% power to cut 1/8" plywood. That being said, unless you are willing to redesign the Shark to accommodate laser tube and mirrors to direct the bea...

Re: Can not detect touch plate error
WE HAVE RESULTS! Thank you Rando. It is exactly as you describe. when the plate is on the vise, the bed, or thru the aluminum work piece the touch plate is not detected. For everything else it works fine. The vise was a new addition only a few weeks ago. I'll just continue to use paper to touch off ...

Re: Can not detect touch plate error
interesting thought. I'll have to check that out.
In my case, it is on a vise and I was trying to cut aluminum in the vise. So there is a clear conductive path to the bed.
I'll try it in the morning and let you know.
