Re: cp 2.1
If this happens every time you try to run a certain tap file, the carriage always goes to the top of the gantry, it most likely is a defect in the toolpath setup and clearance settings. You're description is a little vague to start with - and there could be other things contributing to this. If it '...

Re: Aspire V8.007 User Requesting Shortcut Help
Hi Bill, As Bob and Sharkcutup have said, they were able to use the Join Open Vectors tool to get what you want. I selected all of the vectors - Gear 1.png Then with the <shift> key pressed, deselected the ones that I didn't want joined. Gear 2.png I then went to the menu panel and selected Join Ope...

Re: Aspire V8.007 User Requesting Shortcut Help
Hi Bill - can you share that file - or email it. I'd be glad to see if I can recall a speedier method for you.

Re: CNC Shark Pro Plus Machining errors
Several years ago when I first started this adventure, I ran into a problem with the quality of the power more so than surges. In addition to the grounding and circuit loading condition Bill highlighted, in my case I had some abnormal movement at times. I'm in a rural area, and the power ranges in v...

Re: Replacing y axis motor
I'm not aware of any instructions that are written down for this. You'd certainly have to remove the table top to gain access to the nuts on the bolts that hold the motor in place, as well as the motor shaft to traverse screw coupler (which you'll want to release before you proceed to take the motor...

Re: Altering X and Y orientation
Hi Scootey7, I disagree with sharkcutup about the danger and safety risk. I suspect some of us who have an extended bed have reversed the gantry installation on the table, and plugged the 'x' cable into the 'y' output (and the 'y' cable into the 'x' output) as for some us, this is what makes sense. ...

Re: CNC Shark Control Panel locking up
On this topic - it is not about whether the usb connection is actually providing power for the attached device to use. So I'm not surprised about the outcome of the experiment. What the NWA team was trying to say is that the USB port must be active. There's typically several power management setting...

Re: Screensaver interrupting Touch Probe???
So now you are in the 2.5D carving aspect of VCarve Pro. You'll need to use Cut3D for a part of this workflow - as you would any 3D model you want to use with a VCarvePro project. There are better tutorials on the Vectric site than this old topic post - http://www.cncsharktalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&...

Re: Screensaver interrupting Touch Probe???
Hi - I don't think anyone would disagree with your expectation - but that is not the case in general. Documentation does come in fits and spurts, and then there's a gap. In the end, there is a real cost to this and while we all agree it would be great, expected, etc - sort of like travel limit switc...

Re: Screensaver interrupting Touch Probe???
I doubt that the screen saver caused this. However, in one of the useless manuals you mention, which covers only ancient stuff, it does strongly discourage you from having a screen saver function running on the computer you are using with the SCP. You may have been discouraged given that the manual ...
