Anyone know if you can buy just the replacement cord for the touch plate? $100 for a new plate and cord seems a bit high . . .
I've messaged NextWave, but no info yet, Rockler's site suggested NextWave . . .

Re: Touch Plate detection just failed
https://1drv.ms/u/s!Ah_DERvpr7S1gopVXJZKEAlhZX5VVA Found the problem! picked up the plate to disconnect from the controller and inspect it, the small wire to the magnet came off in my hand - pulled loose from inside the heat shrink tube. Not sure I'll be able to fix that, but will give it a try! ht...

Touch Plate detection just failed
Been using Virtual Zero since using the machine, the other day on the center point of a zero the machine did the "slam the bit into the plate" trick. After a shut down and complete re-start, tried again, but the system won't detect the plate at all - not under the bit, not with the magnet touching t...

Re: Update to CP 2.1 - Virtual Zero Disappeared!
apparently the Registration Codes expire with version changes! Seems like the developers could have written a "Hot Swap" routine into the code that would take the old codes, get new ones and install them. Imagine how many Tech Support and Annoyed Customer hours could be saved! So, note to self: Don'...

Re: Update to CP 2.1 - Virtual Zero Disappeared!
Finally resolved! Got several emails from Tech Support, but unable to make the online registration work. Fellow had me pull the file locally and send it to him, he then returned three separate registration codes (CNC, Control Panel, and Touch Plate). Once I put them all in, Virtual Zero was back. I...

Re: Update to CP 2.1 - Virtual Zero Disappeared!
No solution yet, got an email with iffy instructions on registering my stuff - wonder why in the world they make registrations expire on their upgrade? Tried the submission of data again, got the server reply "no registration returned - call Tech Support" Did that, made it to hold for a couple minut...

Update to CP 2.1 - Virtual Zero Disappeared!
OK, thought just letting the machine rest on Sunday might cure the problem, but no . . . Upgraded to CP 2.1 Saturday, and noticed immediately that the Virtual Zero button was gone. Tried again today, looked at the Registration Tab to make sure the Touch Plate is registered (it is), have restarted th...

Y Axis Lead Screw Nuts - Poor Design
CNC_Y-AxisRod 18-Oct-17 11-11-20 AM.JPG After two different needs to get in to the set screws holding the y-axis Lead Screw to the motor shaft, we've pretty much concluded that this is an example of design that could be improved. As you can see in the first picture, it's not possible to get to the ...

Re: Output direct to Router/Controller?
Looks like I tried the right approach - would be nice to have a response from Vectric. I'll just continue with what I've been using, save the tap file to our file server, then from the room with the CNC open and run the file.

Output direct to Router/Controller?
I've seen that when you save a .tap file there's an option to check Output direct to machine. I've tried that, and it seems to save a .tap file anyway, then tries to open the Shark program, but that errors out. Is this really possible? Need to do differently? Seemed like a quick option for routing n...
