Thanks.

Re: Router tip does not reach cnc bed or spoil board
Thank you Tony,
This suggestion provided what was needed to determine a solution:
"Can you post a pictures of the router in the clamp and also the height of the gantry sides."

Re: Uneven cut
Also, are all drive screws cleaned and properly lubricated? If not, it could cause the mismatched outline cut. Tramming could cure the uneven bottom, and clean up the surfacing cut. I'm still a little suspicious of those couplers... Also what feedrates are you using. Could you post your crv. file? H...

Remove the depth adjusting ring on the router.
If it were removed, the router could be mounted further down in the clamp.

Re: Uneven cut
Be sure to check all couplers between the motors and the drive screws. The setscrews can become loose. Plus, if the setscrew is not tightened against the flats of the motors and the drive screws there can be intermittent slipping. So, even if a setscrew appears to be tight, it may only be tightened ...

Re: Bob's Super Simple 4th Axis
Steve, It was an attempt to shield the gears from sawdust. It would also serve as a guide to keep the work centered. Probably not even necessary. Try it without disks. It might work just as well using compressed air. Since this was a prototype, there were several parts designed into the project that...

Re: Router tip does not reach cnc bed or spoil board
There are many solutions: 1. Try lowering the router in the clamp if possible. 2. There are holes of the sides of the gantry legs that can be used to adjust gantry height. Are there any empty holes beneath the holes being used now? 3. What you are doing now...raise the stock with scraps, or a thicke...
