Re: Hangover

Have you seen this solution?
http://www.tailmaker.net/
Looks promising, especially for box joints, but there is a dovetail solution as well.

Re: Antlers hotel

Awesome idea
Amazing execution.
Very cool stories behind the plaque and the wood.
Thank you for sharing the finishing technique, I always wonder how folks make things look so good.
Great job!

Re: New Buyer

The Shark comes with the Vectric Vcarve Pro.
Trial version to practice on here: https://www.vectric.com/products/vcarve.htm
I strongly suggest watching the tutorials and doing the projects - it really helps with the learning curve.
You will need at least a starter set of router bits.

Re: New Buyer

The US units should all be 110v.
You should use at the very least a surge protected power strip.
Better would be a surge protected UPS.
I really like having the Zero Plate.
But not knowing what you plan on doing with the CNC it is hard to make suggestions on what else will be useful for you.

You may want to ground the dust collection. Static charges can wreak havoc on computers and electronics. A CNC is not "dumb" like...

Re: Shark HD4 extended - how close to table should the bit b

Bob, Emailed with Next Wave today. It was suggested that the water cooled spindle should be positioned at least 3/4" below the bottom of the lower clamp. If you have the Next Wave or Rockler dust boot then you would position the end of the spindle at least 1/4" below the bottom of the mounted dust b...
