Re: New CNC Controller using DDCSV1.1 Panel
You should check with NextwaveAutomation and see if they would license this from you and build them. It looks way more complicated to me than my little brain can manage. Buy it I would, but try and make it... Nah, I just don;t think I could get there from here.

Re: New HD4 question
As gordread stated, you break the tool paths down into separate files. It will stop at teh end and go to 0,0 . Then you can jog around and change the tool out.

Re: Cant use the laser with HD4
Correct. Once you downloaded the correct .pp file, you will need to put that into the correct folder for vectric to see it. Then it should appear as an option to save it when you try and save a tool path.

Re: How can I program a chamfer/angled cut
Ah ha.. I do believe that is what I had in mind. I really didn;t want another tool change if I could manage to do it with a tool already in place. By selecting the angle this should accomplish what I set out to do.
Thank you Mr D.

Re: Router Power Cord Management
I have been thinking about this as well. I am working toward making a spring loaded wire carrier. So as it travels it can flex in multiple directions. A secondary idea is to hang from my ceiling a hook and try that idea.

Re: Custom CNC Outlet Covers!
Thank you Keith for the files. Been wanting to do some of these since I first saw the cnc router... I live in a log house and the wood ideas are endless.. Here is one (my first attempt and 6th project to date). I had some left over cedar tongue and groove I had used for the walls in our bathroom. It...

Re: How can I program a chamfer/angled cut
Hmmm. JUst had an idea... I wondered if I could open one of the tap files and edit it. Looks like I can. Sooo.. If I can determine where at on the outline tool I am I could create a tool path to do what I wanted. It would be specific to the one cut. I think I can figure this out, but it sure seems t...

Re: How can I program a chamfer/angled cut
I had considered the forming tool and for this one (the battle axe) it did work. I was hoping to find a way though I could change the angle to anything I wanted for a determined length. So as another example, I wanted to make a wedge shape onto a flat shape. Like the axe, or something else. Seems li...

How can I program a chamfer/angled cut
I have been playing around with my new toy... err tool, the hd4 and I want to figure out how to program an angle or chamfer of varying widths. For example, I drew out a viking battle axe today and then cut and then wrote some lasered script (I got my laser yesterday so I am testing that out). On the...
