Re: Aspire 3.5 Toolpath Issue

There is no problem in Aspire. When you try to toolpath multiple closed shapes that cross over each other, the program simply can't figure out what boundaries it should be using. You can either alternate the shapes like you did and then combine the toolpaths into one when you save it or select all t...

Re: shark carved in foam

Hi John, You can resize it to whatever works for you. Most likely the length will be your limiting dimension, so set that first and let the width automatically adjust. Then you can either increase the Z height to give it a little more shape or adjust it to fit the material you want to use. This is a...

Re: Intellectual property

Hi Mike, I have attached the License agreement that is automatically installed on your hard drive when you install Aspire. It starts by explaining your agreement with Vectric for using their software and if you scroll down you will find the license terms for using Vector Art 3D's models that are inc...

Re: Help!!!! with tiling

You have 3 choices: One piece of material that you can pull through your X axis, One piece of material that you can pull through your Y axis (direction you can pull through depends on your machine's design and layout), or Cut into individual tiles where the a size of a tile will either fit on your m...

Richard,

If you are using the Vectric products the Estimated Time must be adjusted for your machine and the type of project. This FAQ should help you:

Re: Vectric 2012 Advent Calendar

As I read their Terms of Use, I believe Vectric has already stated their position on sharing these files. They have not donated them to the public domain.

Please observe their wishes or they may have to decide not to do things like this in the future, which will affect all of us.

Re: Deer Mantle

Perhaps this will help you understand how sizing works in Cut3D: If you import a V3M model you will find that X and Y are locked together to prevent model distortion, but you can uncheck the LockXYZ box and change Z by itself. Here is what you would do: Import your model, in this case a mantel scene...

Re: carve depth

There are many threads on the Vectric forum with a similar question, so they developed a couple of FAQ that should help you understand: http://support.vectric.com/aspire-questions/item/how-to-set-cut-depth-when-v-carving http://support.vectric.com/aspire-questions/item/how-to-adjust-depth-of-v-carvi...
