I bought a set of Rockler vacuum table components. Now I just need advice as to which vacuum pump will be reliable. I am leaning towards ROBINAIR single stage due to it's name brand and price.

the fix was strictly mechanical. The plug that has shrink wrap was the culprit. The wires that connected to it came unsoldeder. Piranha FX with touch plate. Suddenly became very unreliable, refusing to set the Z axis 100% of the time. I tried doing continuity tests but cannot fathom what it wants. Any ideas or help? I am using paper setting for now.

I would like to just edge route small plaques. Couldn't I just position the bit at the correct X Y Z coordinates and pretend it's just an upside down router table? I do not have a a big shop and only the one router that is attached to the cnc machine.
