Yes, it is on their site. Dupont Silicone lubricant with teflon.Bob wrote:My memory is a little fuzzy, but I'm pretty sure that NWA recommends the DuPont Teflon/Silicon lubrication. It's a mixture of both. not just Teflon.

Re: Piranha Issues
Steve, I don't see a way for the mobile cart to be causing this problem. As long as the top is solid and flat so it isn't putting the machine in a bind, it should be fine. I have mine on a workbench that isn't one of those rock solid installations, but I just added a layer of birch plywood on top (j...

Re: Piranha Issues
In agreement with Roger; check your preview carefully. If this problem isn't showing up in the preview on your computer monitor, it isn't a software problem. Mike I have a Shark HD (original) so I don't have any Piranha experience but I am going to go out on a limb and suggest that there looks like ...

Re: Piranha Issues
Well, I'm out of ideas for now. Please keep us in the loop as you and Next Wave get to the bottom of it. You'll enjoy the machine when you do. It is very accurate and capable. I use it to make shell inlays for the guitars I build and the precision is amazing. Mike I have previously check the router ...

Re: Piranha Issues
I have a piranha and haven't seen these issues, but a couple of ideas to check: 1) Any chance the material is moving? 2) The machine will deflect if you drive it too hard. I've found the default tool feeds are 2 or 3 times higher than what I like to use for good results. 3) Anything around, under, o...

Re: Laser attachement for the CNC Shark Pro
Tony, Nextwave is coming out with a laser version of the piranha (I think this fall). You might be able to buy the parts and control from them and have something fairly plug and play,tonybell9699 wrote:Bump.... Still looking

Re: Dancing Santa Claus
Thanks Rod, that was exactly the kind of info I needed to get started. Haven't cut yet, but imported the model and created the toolpaths so I'm on my way!

Re: Dancing Santa Claus
Rod, I've haven't done that kind of carving before. Would you mind describing the toolpath process and the tool style/size used?
thanks, Mike
Edit: I'm talking about the 3d model for the santa face. I use Vcarve pro 8.
