3d aluminum
3/8 inch aluminum, star was cut with 1/4 in end mill for rough pass at 25 ipm 7 % stepover.Finish pass 1% step overat 100ipm (wqnted to slow it down but the speed level disapeared and could not be slowed. Letters were cut two passes with 1/2 in v bit

To clear the wood, draw a box around the piece then select the 3d item and the box. use the pocket tool to remove the wood to the depth of the 3d oaject

Wood is oak, sides were designed and cut with vcarve, top is 21.5x14, sides are 11x20

box is 3/4 oak measures 6x14x5. 3d artwork is from vector art 3d. angels were done with .125 ball nose. blocks and ribbon were done with .25 ball nose all were done in one pass.

started with a window sticker, had to clean up a lot of jagged edges picked up when scanned. On 1/2 inch oak. 1/2 inch V bit. flag was carfully painted. marines were covered with black lates paint and sanded
