after setting datum point in material set up to be the center of a 8x8 peace of material, and then when I set the control panel to x 4" and Y 4" the router should go to the center of the material, should it not.?? When I tried it, it tried too go to the edge of the material and hit the lead screw nut.
Re: datum
If the center is in the middle, that's like the 0,0 of good-old cartesian graphs. X+4 Y+4 is the upper-left corner, 4.566" from the 0,0 center/origin point. The lower-left corner would then be at X-4 Y-4.gpeck wrote:after setting datum point in material set up to be the center of a 8x8 peace of material, and then when I set the control panel to x 4" and Y 4" the router should go to the center of the material, should it not.?? Make sense?
