Since the bits are not all the same length that would be difficult.
it is easier to save the files for each toolpath that has a differnt bit.
once you finish one program change the bit in the router then move the bit on the top on the wood again and only zero the Z axis.
Leave the others axis alone and you should be fine to finish your program.
This works very well.

Thanks for the reminder, I do have a set of brass set up bars and I am able to set the bit at the same point each time.
I have tested the process a number of times and it works just fine. The only thing I need to do now is find out how to
pause the program, go to Z+ to change bits then reverse the Z+ and resume the program. Any ideas on that?

There is no need to pause the program since vcarve will not put two different bit programs in the same file.
Run one program to completion then change bits and run the second program for the new bit.
