My Take on the Dust Collector

Post by wildseyed »

I've been cutting A LOT of HDPE lately, and I'm done sweeping. Here is a lightweight dust collector for the Shark Pro, in 1/4" King ColorCore. The brushes are from McMaster-Carr. You have to glue them into the grooves using cyanoacrylate glues. The hose is press-fit into the opening.

If I do anything else to the design, it will be to bring the hose closer to the router, to reduce the size. Right now, it can bump some of my taller clamps.

This is not a copy of the commercial product sold by Rockler. It is my own design, although undoubtedly it looks very similar. I mean, there's only so many ways you can skin a cat, right?

Free to use in any way you like.

Best,
