majorbdk,

Thank you for the files.
By any chance you might have the files for the other three branches AF, Marines, CG ?
They would be handy to have.

No, I created those on the fly yesterday when I was the request. I found the images from a google search. Just have to find the right quality to convert to vectors.

I had to delete the others because they were copyright protected.

ok, I ungrouped the the vectors now I would like to add the outline of the flag on the right side. I drew new vectors and closed them. They show up as selected but won't show up in the toolpath. Why won't it show in the toolpath?

How do I know if something is copyrighted? The Marine Corps file i found was on the Department of Defense website as an downloadable eps. file.

All branches have similar links if you search Google.

Thanks for the info. I still can't understand why the Department of defense has the official seal of every branch of the military available for download in four different file formats and within each format a color and black and white version if they are so protected. Apparently as taxpayers we are not privy to to such things.

FYI - None of these seals are copyright protected. In fact ALL work product produced as a result of taxpayer funding is ALWAYS in the public domain, period end of story. However, In different agencies there are restrictions on "unauthorized uses" of the seal. In my old agency the use of the seal was protected by the Office of the Secretariat from unauthorized use but permission was routinely granted for non-commercial use and the type of projects that are described in this thread. As far as I know, the Department of the Navy and Department of the Army have no such "authorized use" restrictions.
