Great post on not only bearing replacement, but some larger bearing caveats by Joe. http://www.cncsharktalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2066

Thanks Bill, great information to have.

I took my router in to the shop to have fixed under warranty, and I will get it back today. Yay!!

I finally found the fuses (8 amp mini-slow burn) at 'The Source by Circuit City'. They were significantly more expenive than the ones on NWA's web site. If you are reading this, and you don't have additional spare fuses, I would suggest putting in an order with NWA. http://shop.nextwaveautomation.com/shop ... ?itemid=39

Thanks everyone who helped me to fix this issue. I really appreciate it.

I have a spare router also..... Both are setting with bad bearings. My new router should be here tomorrow. I agree that these were never intended for hours of use like we put them through. I'm going to order new bearings for (now) two backup routers and become proficient at rebuilding Bosch routers. My fuses in my control box, I believe we're 10 amp fuses, may be wrong though. Another thing, in case your controller dies, as mine did recently, the Estop button was bad, and tech support talked me through bypassing it to get me going again. Two days later I received my new estop button and all was fine.
Being retired is hard work. Spending way too much time in the shop these days. (And loving it).

Yeah Keith,
That sounds like me. I have a PC 690 on the shelf now and a new 690 in the machine. I would almost bet I don't get around to buying bearing for the one until the second one goes out. That's just my nature I think sometimes. I messed around and let the $149 deal on a PC892 at Rockler slip by me and will now probably pay $179 at Amazon cause the Rockler price went back up to regular price of $199 :( I was thinking the 8 amp fuse didn't sound right but hadn't had time to check it out yet in the manual. I'll probably wait till the weekend that I need to do my biggest order and have the "wood splinters hit the fan" to think about buying bearings or fuses.
