Post by cbhelms »

went onto vcarvepro, pulled the bullhead file and entered in my piece of wood size and router bit info, created toolpath and saved it as a g code tap file. opened the cnc program and loaded tap file and hit run. o,o,o had been set on left bottom corner of work piece. file runs but it doesnt leave home??

Before running the gcode, did you jog the shark to match the 0,0,0 as defined in VcarvePro setup, and then zero out the X,Y,Z? Do the steppers make any noise as the code runs?

Did you save it as a cnc shark inch tool path file?

Thanks for setting me straight on how to do this, my problem was that I was trying to save it to the wrong inch tool path file. After getting it saved correctly, it ran like it was supposed too.
Thanks for the help.
