How do you resume a carving after a stop

Post by Mr. Toad »

I was 90 percent done with a 24 hour job when I inadvertently touched the stop on the controller of my shark hd5. How do I resume the job where it stopped or am I just SOL?

I don't think you can resume a Stopped carving or choose to start anywhere in the program with the NWA machines. You can only do so on a pause.
The best you can probably do is edit the file: preserve the 'safe' code at the top. Everything else is positioning. Delete everything up to where you want to start - ensuring you start from a reasonable position command and save/load/go.
I do this on a HAAS with little memory when I have to break up large 3d files of if the Estop was pressed. Good luck.
