I finally finished carving a scale replica of the birthplace of jeb2cav, just kidding Joe. Its really the birthplace of Keith Hodges. Kidding again.
This is actually a box with a removeable top. i designed it in Aspire. All made out of reclaimed pine except for the chimney which is Yucatan Rosewood. The details are what makes it I think.

Nice work Bill. I would love to do something like that when I have time. Always like your projects.

Re: Log Cabin carved on CNC Shark
Thanks Tony. Time is all relative. I think of this not as one big long project but as 10 small projects that are assembled together. Each side is about an hour per. The upper sides maybe 30 minutes. The roof panels were actually the longest at about 1 hour 15 each. The box bottom and the chimney probably another hour total. Another hour for assembly and finishing. All done over a few weeks while I'm doing other things. Of course the design and thinking about it are another story.

Re: Log Cabin carved on CNC Shark
Glad you cleared that up Bill, was wondering where you got the photos of my old home place. ;0). Actually my grandmother took me on a tour of a cabin she lived in at age 5 that very closely resembles your cabin. As always, good job, and congrats on thinking out of the box, again!
Being retired is hard work. Spending way too much time in the shop these days. (And loving it).
