I'm building a wood worker's bench. Recycled from a solid maple table top. I got some beautiful Spalted Sugar Maple from Maine and I carved this piece that I designed in Aspire. It gets dovetailed into a Chop that I have to make yet.

Slowly getting this done in between my travels.

I wanted to show how I cut the pins into the end of the chop for this project.

So here is my set up on my Shark Pro Plus: I then do a first cut just .1" deep so I can test fit. I also cut circles to indicate where I can drill out the majority of the waste. The fixture make it easy to take the piece out and relocate it exactly for cutting. after drilling

After cutting the fit was fine for glue up. some fine adjustments to the length and width are needed, but here it is clamped in place. Just need a top plate and to final assemble.

A little outside the CNC realm but thought I'd post on the assembly details here in case anyone wants to try one of these. So this is the backside and you can see its from laminated block of maple. There is a hole at the end for the screw to come though and then the space for it to travel. The green bars have grooves that ride on the plate attached to the bench. I got the hardware from Woodcraft, small tail vise. You have to add a top plate, leave it a little thick to plane it flush to the bench top.

Next step attach the screw, drill the dog holes. After that I have to build the legs and front vise. Thanks for reading.
