Z height

Post by W2csa »

Hi and thanks for the help.
I’ve just completed the assembly of the HD510.
I’ve installed a Bosch router and find that if I put a Vbit in and lower the router to its lowest point, with a 3/4 “ piece of wood underneath there isn’t enough room to do the carve.
I see 2 choices, put material underneath the wood to raise it up or physically lower the gantry. If I lower the gantry then I lose the upper Z height.
Am I missing something?
Thanks for reading.

This must not be a very robust forum if this question has not been answered since NOVEMBER!
I am having a similar issue, and I posted separately. Need a solution soon!
Spent money on a spoil board that my router can't even reach!
