Shark Table top

Post by Larry Gardner »

Any one have any good ideas on a table for my Shark Pro Plus HD to sit on, I was thinking sink base cabinet, saw one at Menards for $82.00 35" Wide X 24" Deep and 34.5" high... would be curious to see pictures if anyone has some.... Hopefully my shark will be here before the weekend, so I want to get the table going. Next question I was thinking of running a long USB cable to the controller from the computer, any thoughts on that, my second way was to mount the computer below in the cabinet???
All thought and suggestions will be helpful...
Thanks

Man oh man. Users have got them setting on everything from oil cans to surgical tables. Mostly, its what ever works in your space. For me it was a cart on wheels with a MDF top to fit. Many build 2x4 tables, but I don't think anybody is making their kids hold it up.....yet, well at least they didn't take any pics of it. Most have a shelf under for the controller and stuff like bits and clamps. You will find out what works then you will make several adjustments and rebuilds. Seems like us DIY types just can't leave it alone.
Good luck and good dust making and don't forget to take a pic and post.
If you want to see tables, search dust collection or dust shoe and look at the table tops...

I like your table Dawg, it is very nice and clean, that is what I am going to do with out the extended ed. Dan I was planning on mounting the computer under the cabinet and use a cordless mouse. Hopefully works oalright I have everything I need to make the table and just picked up a cabinet from Menards. now before I put the Shark Pro Plus HD Together I have to finish the cabinet all the way... I will post pictures when I get it finished. I have Mid Terms right now so I am on hold till next weekend... Hopefully I can do some work this weekend on it...
