Actual XY travel and table dimensions.

Post by FixitMike »

On my Shark Pro Plus:
Standing at the Y drive end of the table (the same side as the router), X, Y, zero is at the near left corner.
The table measures 28 1/2" in X, 36" in Y
Minimum X travel is 1.73" from the left side of the table.
Minimum Y travel is 1.27" from the bottom of the table.
Actual X travel is 25.1"
Actual Y travel is 24.8"

Some have asked about turning the gantry around. The CL of spindle is 4 3/16 from the CL of the Gantry. So, so if you turned the gantry around, the spindle would be: 1.27 + 24.8 + 2 x 4.18 - 36 = 1.57" short of the end of the table. There is room to slide the table top 2 3/16" farther toward Y-, so it could be moved so the spindle would travel .62" beyond the end of the table, but that is all. (But X travel would be reversed, so you would make mirror images.)

Assembly and manufacturing tolerances may give different numbers for other tables
