Yes, they are fun. Just gathered a bunch of 2” to 3.5” dia branches on my property a week or so ago. Got them drying inside now. Unlike regular lumber, there’s sometimes a lot of spots you normally wouldn’t want to have in your carving. I use a roughing file and run it at increasing depths until I’m happy with the wood there. Then I’ll run the final. Have fun!
