Bill , I put contact paper on it and then carve it , and
use spray ink to color all you have to do is remove contact paper an lightly sand and put finish on.

I got the clip art , and made the pattern .

I saw this on another site and thought I would try it, is cut on white oak.

Turned out very nice.
