It can't jog, but can you do other regular stuffs like 'set' heights, load taps, detect the touchplate (I don't know if you already have one), or load the last tap-turn off t...

Re: Need help with some things...

+1 Bob, when I made the baby pin birth plaque thing it was a long run time where I lost steps and caused some real clean up issues. I had read raster was an option for clearing that up. I suppose because rastering involves less motors all at once (my stab at an ignorant explanation.)

Re: Walnut Humidor

Yep it's to keep them at proper moisture level so they don't crumble and fall apart and the Spanish cedar is to keep them safe from some tobacco worm that would eat the leaves. There is a humidifier in the box to provide the humidity, and a hygrometer to keep track of it. My FIL is into cigars and s...

Re: Spoil board for 25x25 using bed slots

If anyone is still working on theirs: I will say having completed an mdf one and used it a bit that Oak slats is what I would use if I had to do it again. I would still use all the same screws etc but a hardwood instead, and oak is plentiful and cheap. I have run many jobs since making the mdf spoil...

Re: Walnut Humidor

Our Dakota carries it too but that's dangerous, I always come back with more wood than I planned to get. Like a kid in a candy shop. And I will get 5 times the wood from going there than ordering it online in small pieces for the same price but it's an hour away. But then I can make a handful of hum...

Re: Need help with some things...

Doesn't this look like a lost x step instead due to ________? (ie static discharge, or some other electrical blip that makes the motors drop steps) The gouge following the round toolpaths in the upper area matches the deformity in the letter 'e' on the left hand side of the e. I mean to say the cutt...

Re: Another Big Rig Truck

Yes really nice, nice detail work. That would be an awesome toy though! As a new father I am interested in the finishing of wood stuffs for kids-what would you use if it were for a child?
