Re: 7W laser burn issue help request
4. Are there specific parameters for the safety goggles? I'd like to get a second set. Also, are the goggles needed if one is only looking at the white barrier around the laser or only if one looks directly at the beam itself? I don't own the official laser, but I can help with general laser safety...

7W laser burn issue help request
I installed the 7W laser today and had a few questions. Hopefully someone can assist. 1. What kind of ribbon cable is used to connect the controller? It's far too short for my setup. 2. I sure wish mine held. I just got the laser module and it's quite a bit wider than a bit. It was bad enough trying to change sharp bits with a 2x4 holding the system up but it's a lot worse with the laser module. There's not much space. While it's not as safe to have the system on when inserting the...

Z axis doesn't hold when power is off
Hi all, New to CNC here. Purchased the Shark HD4 unit with the water-cooled spindle. I have discovered that when the power is cut to the machine, the z-axis drops. I contacted Nextwave support back when I first set up the machine and noticed this and they said that was because with the loss of power...
