Re: Pro Plus Table Flatness
Been awhile since I posted to these forums. Been frustrated with the trying to carve simple lettering as the table moved away from the router as the x-axis increased. Did not have the resources for replacing the bar as previous posters have done which I do like. I took off the slats, put an old bit ...

Re: API to controller
No true API that I am aware of. You can create your own tap file instead of having VCarve create it for you.

Re: Shark Control Panel???
"..if you accidentally click the right button, the machine will move in whatever axis is selected UNTIL you click again!" Wow, I wonder what the heck was going on when that thing would take off on me trying to do a jog. My eyes are on the bit, not the button for the left click. Will watch that more.

Re: Do you have a Pro Plus?
I don't blame you for wanting to see it before you buy it. I am not anywhere close to Texas (Indiana here), but I can say that it is a quality machine and I don't regret buying it sight unseen.

Re: CNC SHARK MOVEMENT
When mine moves along the X axis the screw vibrates something awful on long movements. I am going to get some silocone spray to see if that helps. I also noticed that on the X axis screw where it goes through the router that on the left side there is not a spacer on the left side like there is on th...

Re: Frustrated
I run the shark control panel on a little Dell netbook, Atom processor, 1gb ram and like 16g ssd. Runs Windows XP and I used the latest updates with no problem.
The VCarve and all else I run on Dell Alienware, Windows 7, 64bit, 4gb ram, 500gb HDD.
Definitely look at running in XP mode.

Re: Troubleshooting tap file
Just to be clear, I appreciate all ideas and help. My background is developing software applications, not working with CNC machines or wood that much. I have done a fair amount of hand carving small pieces but nothing intricate. Most of my time so far has been trying to make the 3D masterpieces that...

Re: Troubleshooting tap file
Thanks for the replys. Regarding the table levelness, on my first piece, a test run, the right side was definitely lower. I removed the table (soooo much fun) and used metal tap to get it pretty darn close to level. I ran the router to all 4 corners with hardly any difference to the naked eye and th...

Wow, very nice. How did you clamp this piece down?
