Re: New HD510 - Z Carriage Not Square to Bed
I just received my HD5 gantry upgrade for my HD4 and I have the same issue. The spindle cartridge is so out of square, it’s visible to the naked eye. Looks like I’ll be on the phone tomorrow with Nextwave. Thankfully they have great customer service. My understanding is that you're going to have to...

Re: Mid Operation Adjustments - HD510 with Spindle
anderjus: ============================ Importing GCode tap files: Vectric, and most other CAD/CAM programs have ZERO capability to **import** GCode tap files, so that's gonna be a dead-end. That is, you can only use the Vectric tape-splitting feature on toolpaths actually generated in Vectric. =====...

Re: Mid Operation Adjustments - HD510 with Spindle
Yes: get rid of your NWA controller, swap in something using Mach3 or Mach4, wire the driver module inputs to the new motion controller board, and don't look back ;) Other than that, learn GCode so you can easily identify the "preamble" and "closing" parts of the files. If you look in the post-proce...

Re: New HD510 - Z Carriage Not Square to Bed
Uncle Buck: It's a little difficult to understand what you mean. In the diagram below, which misalignment do you mean? A or B? 510Misalignment.jpg A is a misalignment in the XY plane. That is, as the spindle moves along the X axis, it's Y position relative to the bed changes. B is a misalignment in ...

Re: Setting/Saving permanent home x,y?
For repeatability, I often use fixtures to mount the stock on. The fixture then goes into the machining vise, located via a workstop on the vise. When I machine the fixture, I will include an L-shaped cutout with the "inside" edges located at X-0.1 and Y+0.1, like on these: 20210911_142040.jpg Then,...

Dear Mr. Dunning-Kruger: ... Although not an industrial connector, the DB9 will handle the load of N.W. stepper motors due to the load sharing of two pins per phase conductor. ...right up until one of those wires breaks. Or a solder joint cracks and starts to corrode in the humid air, turning itself...

Re: tap files not running properly
Can you post the GCode file? Alternatively, can you view the tap file in http://ncviewer.com and see if the GCode's backplot shows that behavior? Use the "front" view, and that will show you the depths of each cut.

Re: Need to drop a license on Ready2Control
Have you tried just registering the new installation on the PC, and when it asks for a license, you choose/give it the one you want to kill-off from that laptop?
That's typically how it works on other software-licensed systems.

Re: Need to drop a license on Ready2Control
Barksport: Pretty sure all you have to do is register it on a/the second computer where you need that second license to operate. I'm unclear as the reason you need to "unregister" (aka "drop") the other license. Is it's registration somehow preventing something from working? Normally the unregistere...

Fine, you lame-ass lazy people. Like I said: an answer isn't much of an answer if all you do is point in the general direction. What you call a "rant", I call a valid complaint. You can find the post-processor editing guide either in the Help menu, or also online at: https://docs.vectric.com/docs/V1...
