Re: Water Cooled Spindle Flow Indicator

I ordered one from China 5 months ago. Still hasn’t arrived so I made my own out of some fittings and scrap plastic

Re: Z axis doesn't hold when power is off

I have the same issue. With the extra weight, try rigging rubber bands or weak springs to counter the weight. The stepper motor may thank you also when it is pulling up. Go easy though, you want to fight gravity but not work against the stepper motor pulling down. If anyone thinks this is a bad idea...

Re: Spoil board.

Rod, I use strips of mfd like you are talking about with countersunk holes for the 1/4” nylon bolts and nuts. I occasionally mill a few hundredths to flatten or true up the top. If a bit hits the bolt, no problem

No tabs and clean cut and didn't have to cut into my real spoil board. The acrylic was scrap from the dust shoe I made (but didn't use on this...

Re: New skirt

I think Walmart. It's shelf liner(?). It comes in a roll-
It bends easy even when pushed straight down, then
pops back into shape

New skirt

I tried this anti skid for my vac skirt- works great!
I glued it on to a PVC ring that is fastened to base
with Velcro. Different length skirts with quick
Velcro change.
