reclaimed wood

I took a desk apart and reused the wood along with some scrap oak, the white wood is aspen from a project that didnt work out

All wood is destined for a purpose, but somwtimes it's not the one we think it is.
Some pieces find thier place in the second or even third project attempt.
Other times it's purpose is to keep the shop warm with a one way trip to the woodstove.

The last option is the one that those chunks that refuse to find thier place usually go.

Have any of the members tried cutting Kaizen Foam on a Shark???

I have done it. I used a 1/6" mill basically going only about 2/10" deep to mark out where I wanted the tools then finished with a skinny utility knife. Worked well but haven't tried cutting through. I have purchased some 3/4" foam from FastCap that I intend to cut with the machine but haven't done so yet. Only bit I can see using is a 1/8" mill that's over an inch long. If I do it in the next couple weeks I'll let you know how it goes.
