Looks good Karen. cut a 1/4 groove in your base on the shark.Add some glue done.Thats if that bubble plaque is 1/4 thick.I like the look. Basecircle
Re: Bubbles!
Glue and pin nails or screws. I usually use a triangle (glue and pin nails) on the back to give it a tilt. Although now days, many go on the carpet wall panel.
I use a small block and drill a hole and use a paperclip bent to form a hook or use hook and loop.

Re: Bubbles!
Our is out of .75" walnut.
Wade cuts a 21º angle on the bottom of the upright and we have a jig that lets us drill 3 angled holes up through the bottom of the base and hold the upright in position while we screw it into place.
A bit of glue and 3 recessed Kreg screws, 3 coats of semi-gloss lacquer, felt on the bottom and it's ready to go.
He's working on a jig that would let him cut an angled dado so we can do a simple drop-in.
