Newbie Check list
I created a Check List, because as I was learning I didn't do everything on the list and created havoc more than once. 5 weeks in and I still use the list. Posting to help any in a similar situation. Items to add are appreciated.

Re: Newbie Check list
You should check RPMs after each bit change.
If more than one tool path, make sure you are running tool paths in the correct order.
I forgot these in the past and had less than desirable results.

Re: Newbie Check list
Thanx!! I will add to my list.
Re: Newbie Check list
I'll spare you the long writeup here, and instead offer the following, one of my manufacturing sequence sheets. Like so many things I do, it's a bit overkill
Normally I'd make sure there's no proprietary information, but honestly, once these things get well put-together, I actually prefer NOT remembering what's on it, so I don't feel like I can take shortcuts. The excess precision helps allow that to happen, and I can be confident every detail is in the sheet.
Cheers!

What I neglected to mention is that all that is for a simple aluminum angle bracket
Well, the holes and slots and engraving and other features are in just the right spot for a particular application, and I can pump them out by the dozens, but still...it's a $5 hunk of aluminum...that people pay me $50 for.
