I wanted to see if I could embellish a box I turned on the lathe. The curved surfaces were a challenge, but not as bad as I had thought. I would do the finial differently if I were starting over. Box is norfolk island pine and finial is mahogany.

Incredible! Did you do the texturizing on the lathe, or was the cnc able to do that too?

The non-burned texture was done by the shark. The burned texture was done by hand. The lathe was used for standard turning of the box. No embellishing was done on the lathe.
